There have been many changes in the graphics room since last I wrote. Yes, you can take that as ominously as it sounds, as we've just lost 2 of our 4 staff designers! Megan (oh no!) left us last month to get married and move 2 hours north to be with her new husband who's finishing school in the fall. Ryan left us last week (sniff, sniff) to "re-enter the fine art world" as he says so he can apply for art teaching positions when his wife is assigned her residency next march. Gary, is, of course, still around- he's been with 2100 for 25 years- but its strange for me to be "2nd in command" to our 2 summer interns. Gary, our senior graphic designer, has seen alot of people come and go- he's been with 2100 for 25 years- but its strange for me to be "2nd in command" to our 2 summer interns.
The interns are talented, knowledable, and very silly. Christine from Toronto, an english major at Brock U., does layout for her school's paper, and Touched by an Angel impressions for us. Candace, a Spanish major at Goucher College in Baltimore, who teaches her fellow students photoshop basics, breaks ramdomly into song, just to keep things interesting..or so she says.
Nonetheless, you can be praying that God will continue to provide 2100 graphics with great interns, and staff, to replace the hardworkers and sharp minds we've lost.
