FAQ

FAQ
yes, it's true, I do get asked that all the time. but I don't mind.

Q. What does 2100 mean/why is it called 2100?

A. twentyonehundred productions, or 2100, is so called because the roman numerals for 2100 are MMC. MMC stands for what 2100 is all about: Multi Media Communications. Rather than calling ourselves Intervarsity's Multi Media Communications, we got, well, a little creative, 'cause thats what we do best.

Q. What does 2100 do?

A. twentyonehundred is InterVarsity's in-house graphic design and production department. We produce all of the visual pieces that represent the national movement: videos at conferences, training manuals, brochures, logos, websites, etc. While regions and individual campus chapters still do much of their own design work, we create the materials for all staff to use and support the chapters that do need our help. We do huge jobs like all of the videos for the Urbana student missions convention and serve in simple ways like fixing a poster for a campus lecture. 2100 also partners with other organizations, like Christianity Today, to produce media packages that can be used in churchs as well as campus fellowships.

Q. How many people are in 2100?

A. There are 18 people at 2100 right now, but the numbers change every year, as interns and young staff come and go. 2100 is split between production and graphics. I am one of the 4 graphic designers- me, Gary, Megan and Ryan. Our accounts rep, Jill, and our supervisor, Scott, InterVarsity's dir. of communications, round out the graphics team. The other 12 twentyonehundred people write scripts, direct, film, animate and edit footage on the production team.
